| -Good Points:
|
|
-They used the Frontier music again. Fit ok in this movie. I miss the dub Tamers background themes though.
-The voice acting was great! All of the main actors and actresses were able to return. I have to point out that Guilmon's sounded especially good, but hey. I love Guilmon's voice anyhow. Excellent job Mr. Blum!
-Rika's song.
-Rika's mom's song (karaoke).
|
| -Bad Points:
|
|
-As I said above, the dubs Tamer's background themes were missed. :(
-I'm pretty sure I heard Kazu call Kenta "Tenta". Maybe it was just a weird part of my recording.
-"Digivolution" and "Biomerge Digivolution" screens had really weird looking font type. Didn't look anything close to the original at all.
-Some of the Biomerge scenes were cut or whited out.
|
| -Tidbits:
|
|
-The opening credits are covering up the Japanese opening credits. That's why they're so big and tacky. :P
-They left "Spirit Evolution" in the opening lyrics. Weird, since Spirit Evolution doesn't really exist in Tamers.
-Locomon's attack is Wheel Grinder.
-Rika doesn't trust Yamaki. I think this comes from an over-all distrust of older men, after her father left.
-Locomon's voice, I'm pretty sure, was suppost to emulate Johnny Cash (especially after his last quote before he entered the Digital World; you can see that quote under the quotes area of this review).
-Beelzemon's motocycle, Behemoth, appears in this movie, eventhough it was destroyed in the series. One could say this throws the movie out of continuity. Others could argue it was just rebuilt.
-Justimon fell from the Digital Zone, so Ryo was living in the Digital World after the end of Tamers.
-Gallantmon Crimson Mode's attack is Crimson Light.
|
| -Errors:
|
|
|
-Besides "Tenta," which I'm not even sure if I heard right or not, I couldn't find any errors.
|
| -Changes:
|
|
-I believe a few parts of the Parasimon army battle were cut. They did leave a lot of the violent parts in though.
-I think I remember seeing at the end, Locomon is seen riding through the Digital World, but this wasn't in the dub.
-As I mentioned, the Biomerge scenes were edited/changed a bit.
|
| -Highlights:
|
|
-Rika yelling at Takato, then blushes and tells him she knows they meant well.
-Rika singing. Yay for Melissa Fahn!!
-BEELZEMON!
-Locomon's Digivolution "scene."
-Gallantmon Crimson mode.

| -Rika's Song - "Promise":
|
|
Written by: John Majkut
(Young Rika)
Every morning and every night
You watch over me like the sun in the sky
Every morning and every night
Will you promise me... Promise me
You'll be my guiding light!
(Older Rika)
Promise that we'll stay for the sunset
And when the moon shines through the darkness
We can find the path that leads us home
And on the way you'll maybe
Sing me a song
Promise that you always will be there
Hold my hand if ever I'm real scared
Help me stand up tall if I fall down
Make me laugh away my bluest days
How could you promise you always would be there?
Why'd you have to go away somewhere?
Every morning into every night
Do you watch over me like the sun in the sky?
Am all alone or standing in your light?
I wish that I could
Maybe
Sing you a song
Tonight.
You promised me you'd stay for the sunset.

Rika: Are you listening!?! *blushes/smiles* I'm sure you both meant well.
Takato: That's one charged up choo-choo!
Renamon: How are you going to stop it Rika?
Rika: How the heck should I know? I'll figure out how to stop this stupid thing once I find out how to get on it.
Renamon: Hm. You never change.
Worker: The entire electrical grid for downtown just crashed.
Man in charge: Are you joking?!
Worker: I don't have a sense of humor sir.
Man in charge: Why now? On the day before my transfer.
Rika: Aren't you a little too young to be driving?
Rika: If only your conscience was as clean as your face.
Kazu: Where's Terriermon?
Henry: I kinda took the wrong one. *Lopmon standing behind Henry*
Man in charge: Are you joking?!
Worker: How many times do I have to tell you, I don't have a sense of humor.
Takato: Ok, we'll leave it to you. Roger. Gret news! Yamaki's got a plan.
Rika: Hm. So who's Roger?
Takato: It's kind of a lingo thing.
Rika: I don't trust him. And I certainly don't need his help.
Rika: I want to sing.
Takato: You whaa--?!
Guilmon: Wait for it... GOTCHA! Hehehe!
Guardromon: Fear not m'lady!
Yamaki: We're just going to have to wait and trust those kids.
Renamon: Rika! Fight it!!
Locomon: Locomon Digivolve to.. GrandLocomon!
Takato: You better hang on!
Rika: Let me go! If you don't, we'll both d--
Takato: Don't say it!! What's happened to you? The Rika I know would never give up this easily. All we have to do is work together. We can make it Rika.
Renamon: Miss me?
Renamon: But thanks to him, we got to hear a beautiful song.
Kenta: Does that look normal?
Terriermon: I'm not sure. Do giant eyeballs falling from the sky look normal to you?
Henry (MegaGargomon): My, my. Aren't you Miss Pwetty Pants?
Guilmon (Gallantmon Crimson Mode): He thinks we're pretty, heh!
Locomon: I wanna run. I wanna keep on running! I sped into a Digizone of fire!
Kazu: Parasimon or no, that guy's nuttier than a soup sandwich.
Rika's mom: Well ok than, I'll sing!... Oh yeah! You got to shake it all out, baby. You got to shake it now! Shake it! Shake it!! SHAKE IT!!
