| Digimon Frontier D-Tector | |
The D-Tector is the Digivice used by the team of DigiDestined on Digimon Frontier! Each one has a diffrent color sceme. Takuya's Digivice is red and black, Koji's is white and blue, J.P.'s is dark blue and yellow, Zoe's is green and pink, and Tommy's is sky blue and green.
The D-Tector is used to store and collect the Spirits that the DigiDestined discover. It can track down Spirits too, and knows how to uncover them if they're near by. Also, if a DigiDestined defeats an evil Legendary Warrior, they gain his or her Spirit in the Fractal Code process.
The D-Tector is a vital piece needed for the Spirit Evolution process from a human to a Digimon. When the DigiDestined executes the Spirit Evolution, the D-Tector activates the chosen Spirit stored in the D-Tector and allows the DigiDestined to become a Hybrid Level Digimon.
Once the DigiDestined defeats his or her opponent, they scan the fallen enemy's Fractal Code. When the Digimon's Fractal Code is scanned, a lone DigiEgg is left to float away. Yet, sometimes, the Fractal Code scanned can just be extra code added to the Digimon, and that Digimon simply lowers a level and runs off, or becomes uncorrupt. The DigiDestined gains more power and is now able to restore land destroyed by the Digimon.
Many Digivices show the DigiDestined their way around by showing them where they are- the D-Tector is no exception. The D-Tector guides the kids sometimes, eventhough it's usually Bokomon who already knows where to go.
The D-Tectors are also tools of communication between the DigiDestined. Every now and then, Ophanimon talks to the kids through their D-Tectors telling them where to go.
In the castle of Rose Morning Star, Ophanimon had to Evolve Koji's and Takuya's D-Tectors so they could combine all of the spirits. The newly evolved D-Tectors allowed The Digidestined to transfer their spirits to Takuya's and Koji's Digivices. Once the transfer was complete, they could spirit evolve into EmperorGreymon and MagnaGarurumon. When the battle is over, the 2 Digidestined's Digivices transfer back the Spirits to their rightful owners.
